In 2007 our mantra was:

We are women who like to fly,
soaring high up in the sky,
if we have to, we'll walk till noon,
to send a woman to the moon,
The Ninety-Nines is our proper name,
Amelia Earhart is part of our fame,
now you know who we are!

The Human Race

Saturday
May 10, 2008
Natural Bridges State Park in Santa Cruz
www.humanracesantacruz.org or 831-427-5075

Kick off those slippers and let’s get walking! The Human Race is the county’s largest collaborative
fundraiser. This is our fifth year and to date this is what we have achieved:

2004 $461.25
2005 $409.50
2006 $787.50
2007 $1,264.67

Thanks to everyone who donated their time to walk and especially those who could not attend, but donated to this very worthy cause last year. Walkers collect donations from supporters. 75% of the money collected stays with the Monterey Bay 99s and 25% goes to the Volunteer Center. This is a WIN-WIN fundraiser. 100% is tax deductible.

The Human Races is for everyone! Participants with pledges of $25 or more get free T-shirts; enjoy a free breakfast, lunch, snacks, prizes and entertainment. The course is wheelchair and stroller accessible.
